The Sujibori-do BMC Danmo Step Chisel is a precision modeling tool designed for creating and refining stepped molds, panel lines, recessed details, and clean grooves on scale models!

Featuring 1.0mm and 1.5mm cutting widths, it allows modelers to create consistent stepped details with greater control and accuracy, making it especially useful for custom panel work, mechanical detailing, and advanced surface modification on plastic model kits. It uses the same tungsten blade as BMC chisels, offering significantly improved processing accuracy and durability compared to ceramic blades. The flat tip can also be used for regular planing, and the rounded sides of the blade allow precise planing of just the top surface of a part, with no side snags for smooth blade movement.

Plastic is shaved away like wood shavings. For a clean finish, move the tool back and forth several times without applying excessive force. A stepped mold cannot be created in a single pass, so keep moving the tool back and forth until you reach the depth you want. It can also be combined with the separately sold BMC Danmo 0.5-0.8 to create a two-step stepped design.

Caution: This product is for delicate work; applying excessive force or prying may cause it to break. Tungsten blades can chip during use, so protect your hands and eyes with gloves and safety glasses or goggles. Tungsten can also chip on impact, so take care not to drop it or strike it against hard objects. Heating tungsten degrades its strength and makes it more prone to breakage, so avoid heating it. Do not use for purposes other than step reduction, deburring, and chamfering.
