Tamiya Finishing Paper P180 is a coarse abrasive paper designed for initial sanding, shaping, and surface preparation in scale modeling and hobby work!

The P180 grit is well suited for removing seam lines, leveling putty, correcting rough surfaces, and shaping plastic or resin parts before progressing to finer sanding grades. The sandpaper is versatile enough for a wide range of tasks, including repairing glued joints in plastic models, shaping and finishing putty, and polishing wood and metal surfaces. Special processing prevents clogging, and it can be used for both dry and wet sanding. Fine particles, including silicon carbide (said to be the second hardest material after diamond), are bonded to the backing paper with a strong, special resin adhesive.
