A hexagonal-shank drill bit made specifically for model making! Drill holes with confidence, without worrying about the bit spinning freely!
This set includes eight drill bits with 4mm hexagonal shanks, in drill diameters of 2.1mm, 2.2mm, 2.3mm, 2.4mm, 2.6mm, 2.7mm, 2.8mm, and 2.9mm. Because the shaft is hexagonal, it locks securely into the connection point, so there's no worry of it spinning freely and you can work with confidence. Compared with typical drill bits, it has a shorter overall length, bringing it closer to the target so it's easier to aim and control.
The bit is designed with an obtuse angle at the tip, allowing for shallow drilling so you can make holes in thin plastic sheet without piercing all the way through. Because it drills more slowly than a sharp-angled bit, it's less prone to wobbling and the holes are less likely to come out distorted, with neatly finished edges around each hole.
What's more, bits 1.5mm and larger have an added cutting edge at the tip! This increases the bite, so you can drill smoothly with less effort and less resistance.
And there's more! With the separately sold "Quick Power Pin Vise," which is magnetic, attaching a bit is as simple as inserting it. Swapping bits in and out of the pin vise is incredibly easy and a big boost to your efficiency.
Maintenance matters! Take good care of it and it will last a long time:
- Remove any shavings after use.
- Wipe off any fingerprints after use and apply rust-preventive oil.
- Skin oils can cause rust, so be sure to wipe them off with a clean cloth.
- Always store it in its case after use.
- Do not store it anywhere with high humidity.
